TNEB app: the official app, how to sign up, and what it does
The official TNEB app is "TNEB Mobile App(Official)", published by TNPDCL on Google Play and also on the App Store. With it you can pay by UPI, card or net banking, see your usage, download the bill, and see or share the e-receipt. Sign up with your consumer number, an email address and a one-time code on your mobile.

You need
- An Android phone or an iPhone
Look for "TNEB Mobile App(Official)". On Google Play it is by TNPDCL. On the App Store the developer shows a person's name, so use the button here, which is the link TNPDCL gives.
Sign up
You need
- Your consumer number
- An email address
- The mobile phone for the one-time code (OTP)
Tap Sign up, enter the consumer number, confirm your details, set a password, then type the OTP. Already use TNPDCL's payment website? Log in with the same user name and password.
Pay a bill

Quick Pay is the first feature on the app's list. Pay by card, UPI, QR code or net banking. If the app asks you to sign in, use Quick Pay on TNPDCL's website, which needs only the consumer number.

Tap Forget username / password and enter your consumer number. TNPDCL sends the user name and password to your registered mobile by SMS (TNPDCL's 2017 guide).

TNEB app in short
- The official app is "TNEB Mobile App(Official)", published by TNPDCL, the name TANGEDCO has traded under since 27 June 2024. TNPDCL's payment page links to it.

How to sign up on the TNEB app
- Install it from Google Play or the App Store and open it. On Android it may ask to manage phone calls and to reach your photos and files.
- Tap Sign up, enter your consumer number and tap Check. Confirm the details it shows.
- Set a password, and give an email address and your mobile number. Tap Register.
- Type the one-time code (OTP) sent to your mobile and tap Activate.
- Log in and set a 4-digit PIN to lock the app, then fill in your profile.
These are TNPDCL's own steps, from its installation guides dated 2017; screens in today's app may look different. If you already have a login on TNPDCL's payment website, use it in the app instead of signing up again.

TNEB app not working: what to do

Bill details not loading
One of the most helpful Google Play reviews in 2026 said the app often would not show consumer or bill details, and one bill could not be paid in it.
No reminder, and a late fee
Another reviewer missed a due date and paid a late fee, and asked for a reminder feature.
Several connections, one at a time
A reviewer who liked the app asked for a way to pay all their connections at once and to save a card.

Which is the official TNEB app?
"TNEB Mobile App(Official)", published by TNPDCL on Google Play. TNPDCL's own payment page links to it and to the iPhone version on the App Store, where it is free and the developer shows a person's name.
Can I pay my TNEB bill in the app without registering?
The app lists Quick Pay as its first feature. Quick Pay on TNPDCL's website needs only your consumer number; if the app asks you to sign in, use the website's Quick Pay instead.
How do I register on the TNEB app?
Tap Sign up, enter your consumer number and tap Check, confirm your details, set a password, email address and mobile number, then enter the OTP and tap Activate. Log in and set a 4-digit PIN. If you already have a TNPDCL online payment account, log in with it instead.
How do I download my EB bill receipt from the app?
Sign in and use View/Share e-Receipt. Without the app, use TNPDCL's e-Receipt page with your consumer number, receipt number and payment date.
I forgot my TNEB app password. What do I do?
Tap Forget username / password and enter your consumer number. TNPDCL's 2017 guide says the user name and password are then sent to your registered mobile by SMS.
Does the TNEB app remind me when my bill is due?
The app's listed features do not include reminders. Your bill comes by SMS to your registered mobile, and EB AutoPay pays each bill from your bank on the 10th day after billing.
Can I use the TNEB app for more than one connection?
TNPDCL's online payment account lets you add up to 24 more connections, and each one is paid separately. Its pages do not say whether the app shows them, but the app accepts the same login.
