UPPCL bill check online: how to view your bill

1. Open UPPCL's bill page: UPPCL bill view and payment page (consumer.uppcl.org).
2. Choose your district.
3. Type your 10-digit account number, or the mobile number registered with your connection.
4. Type the answer to the small sum shown (for example 2+3 is 5) and press View.

The same page works for all five state power companies (PVVNL, MVVNL, DVVNL, PuVVNL and KESCo). If you do not know your account number, the page links UPPCL's sample bill, which shows where it is.

How to download your UPPCL bill PDF (e-bill)

UPPCL's FAQ gives this route: on www.uppcl.org, open the bill payment section and enter your account number and district. An OTP, a one-time code, comes to your registered mobile number. Enter it, and the detailed bill downloads.

The OTP goes only to the registered mobile. If it does not arrive, the number on your connection may be old or wrong, or no number may be registered: see change your mobile number below.

Your UPPCL account number

Your account number has 10 digits. UPPCL's FAQ also calls it the connection number. Payment apps may ask for a consumer number; UPPCL's own pages ask for this 10-digit account number.

On UPPCL's sample bill it is the line marked ACCOUNT ID, and the name of your power company is printed at the top. The 12-digit number on that bill is the bill number, a different number.

Rural homes that still have an old account number can get the new 10-digit one on UPPCL's UPPCL: Know your new account number page: choose the district, type the old number and solve the sum.

UPPCL bill check on WhatsApp, SMS or by phone

Each power company has a WhatsApp chatbot. Send it your account number to get your bill. UPPCL says to use this when no bill reaches you because your mobile number is not registered, is wrong or is different.

For MVVNL, two official pages differ: UPPCL's bill page and its FAQ give 76690 03409, and MVVNL's own website gives 80109 24203. If one does not reply, try the other.

You can also call 1912, the helpline, and choose the bill option. Once your mobile number is registered and e-KYC (the Aadhaar identity check) is done, the monthly bill comes to it by SMS or WhatsApp with a link.

No OTP? Change your registered mobile number

1. If you still have the old number: on www.uppcl.org, open the service requests and choose the mobile number and email correction. Enter your district and account number; an OTP comes to the old number. In the UPPCL Smart app, the same change is under your profile and account details.
2. If the old number is lost: give a written application at your division or sub-division office with ID and a copy of the bill. UPPCL does not allow this change online, for security.

One mobile number can be linked to at most 3 connections. Once your mobile is registered, do e-KYC on UPPCL consumer login with your district and 10-digit account number, an OTP on the mobile and your Aadhaar consent. You then get the monthly bill by SMS or WhatsApp, and alerts before planned power cuts and disconnection.

Old UPPCL bills and the UPPCL Smart app

UPPCL says its Smart app shows old bills and your payment history, your daily use as a graph, and lets you download and pay the bill. Log in with your mobile number or account number. The app is listed as UPPCL SMART, and UPPCL's SMART portal (UPPCL SMART portal) links to it.

Other apps with UPPCL in the name, such as UPPCL Consumer App, also show up in search; we have not checked what each one does.

If your UPPCL bill looks too high

• Work it out: put your units and load into the UPPCL bill calculator. Rates and the monthly fuel surcharge are in the UPPCL tariff 2026 guide.
• Units billed late: units that were not billed on time are added to a later bill, so one bill can be large.
• A bill with no use: the fixed charge on your load, the fuel surcharge and duty are charged even when you used little power.
• Meter running fast? Ask for a meter test at the division or sub-division office, on www.uppcl.org or by calling 1912. See UPPCL complaint for the wrong bill rules.

Fake links, and the old website

UPPCL says its payment SMS links come only from the senders UPPCLT and UPPCLA. Before paying from a link, check the page is consumer.uppcl.org. Never pay any worker for a smart meter: replacing an old meter with a smart meter is free.

uppclonline.com no longer works. It shows "This website has been decommissioned" and points to www.uppcl.org.

Greater Noida, Kanpur and Agra

Greater Noida is supplied by Noida Power Company (Noida Power Company Limited), a private company with its own bills. In Kanpur Nagar, KESCo supplies the city corporation area (KESCo, About us).

UPNEDA's list also names Torrent Power (TPCL) for Agra. UPERC's tariff order describes it as DVVNL's distribution franchisee for Agra (UPERC Tariff Order for the State Discoms, 2 Jul 2026 (FY 2026-27), section 3.8.3, page 56). In all three places, the name at the top of your bill says which company to use.
