UPPCL and Uttar Pradesh electricity: your supplier, services and guides

UPPCL is the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. Its consumer portal serves five power companies, and one of them sends most UP homes their bill; Greater Noida and parts of Agra have other suppliers. Which company supplies electricity in your district?

Uttar Pradesh has seven electricity suppliers. Your district decides which one, except in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Agra and Kanpur, where the area within the district decides.

UPPCL	Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. Its portal, consumer.uppcl.org, serves PVVNL, MVVNL, DVVNL, PuVVNL and KESCo.
PVVNL, MVVNL, DVVNL, PuVVNL, KESCo	The five power companies on UPPCL's portal; the name is printed at the top of your bill.
UPERC	Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, which sets the rates and the time limits for service, such as fixing faults.

Your UPPCL account number

UPPCL's account number has 10 digits; on the bill it is the line marked ACCOUNT ID. If you live in a village and have an old account number, UPPCL's "Know your new account number" page gives the new 10-digit one: choose your district and type the old number.

With it, or the mobile number registered with your connection, you can check or pay a bill and make a complaint. More in UPPCL bill check. NPCL in Greater Noida has its own website and call centre.
